SmallRig Cage for Nikon Z50 Camera 2499 - Small Nikon Cage
The SmallRig Cage for Nikon Z50 Camera 2499 is a moulded cage that offers protection around the camera and a variety of mounting options. The cage attaches to the camera through a 1/4″-20 threaded hole in the base. In addition, a screw through the left strap attachment is secured to the cage to prevent the camera from turning over. The cage, consisting of one aluminum alloy part, is filled with 1/4″-20, 3/8″-16 and Arri 3/8″ holes for attaching accessories. It also has a cold shoe at the top for attaching the mic and a Nato rail at the left end for quick attachment, for attachments such as the magic arm 2071. An optional Arca Swiss compatible plate can be attached to the base, allowing you to quickly attach the rig to an Arca compatible tripod head. The separately purchased cable bracket 1679 can be attached to hold the cables firmly in place.

A fantastic and high quality cage for the little one. The two attachment point solution provides a strong grip and prevents the camera from rolling over. The bevels on the handle side allow for a comfortable grip on the whole. A generous number of quarter-inch (and 3/8″) thread locks give the user the freedom to express themselves freely. So you can attach everything from support handles to your neighbor's granny to this hole frame. Indeed, it also allows the Z50 screen to be rotated to the selfie position, covering only a fraction of the effective image area of the top of the screen. For vlog use, this is a snap.
An excellent rig from Smallrig for amateurs and professionals alike, although I guess there are few professionals who use cropped cameras. The rig has enough different threaded mounting slots to hold all the products you want, plus a Nato rail. The rig does not hinder the use of the camera in any way, although although there are dedicated attachment points for the hino, so perhaps if I knew I would be taking extensive still shots, I would remove the rig from the camera. The rig is machined to a high standard, there are no burrs and the threads on the mounting points are of high quality.
