It prevents unwanted side light from entering the lens by extending the end of the lens, reducing lens flare and improving image quality.<\/p>\n<p>The inner surface of the lens hood is matte and non-reflective, which helps prevent or limit lens flare. With the lens hood in place, there is no vignetting, so the entire field of view remains open. The extended head also provides additional protection against shocks and bumps.<\/p>\n<p>The design of the cover is finished to blend seamlessly with the lens and camera's appearance. The lens hood can also be flipped backwards to fit more snugly over the lens for easy storage.<\/p>\n<p>The lens hood is made of high-quality ABS plastic, which makes it lightweight but durable. It comes with a high quality aluminium adapter for easy installation.
