The redesigned Ninja V successor improves every aspect of the familiar and reliable monitor.The 5.2 inch 4K monitor is one of the best and most advanced external recorders available.

The Atomos Ninja Ultra is capable of everything the basic ninja does, plus 8K30, 6K60, or 4K120 ProRes raw recording. You can also record RAW files via Atomos Connect using an SDI cable. The standard ninja is only capable of 6K30.

AtomOS 11 operating system

Designed for the new Ninja, the AtomOS 11 operating system brings new features to your monitor, together with an improved icon interface that makes it more intuitive to use. Focus peaking, zooming, Atomos and ARRI color, EL Zone color-coded exposure, safety zones, RecordAssist, PlayBackAssist, SegmentPro and Cine Guides are just a few of the available monitor utility features. The AtomHDR processing engine enables real-time Log to PQ/HLG preview.

5.2-inch touchscreen

Ninja's 5.2-inch IPS touchscreen display offers 1920 x 1080 resolution and 1000 cd/m² brightness for wide daylight viewing. 10-bit colour processing, Rec.709 colour gamut and Calibrite ColorChecker Display Pro/Plus calibration support ensure colour-accurate and high-quality image tracking.

Comprehensive colour support

Ninja supports selected Sony, ARRI, JVC, RED, FUJIFILM, Nikon, Panasonic and Canon log formats. You can load custom 3D LUTs onto your monitor and display the HDR conversion in Log, HLG, PQ or Dolby Vision formats.

HDMI interface and ProRes RAW recording

Ninja's HDMI input and output ports support up to DCI 4K video at 60 fps for monitoring, recording and playback. 3.5K RAW material at 60 fps is supported on selected cameras. Over 55 different cameras support RAW recording via HDMI with up to 6K at 30 fps.

The optional Atomos CONNECT module Ninja is compatible with the separately available Atomos CONNECT module to access cloud workflows such as C2C, Atomos Edit and Atomos RemoteView via Atomos Cloud Studio. The CONNECT module adds 12G-SDI connectivity, AirGlu wireless timing and control, Wi-Fi 6 and GigE Ethernet to your monitor interface. This allows you to send video signals to streaming services via NDI and custom RTMP/S volume heads. You can also convert HDMI to SDI and SDI to HDMI using the CONNECT module.

AtomX Cast

Use AtomX CAST to transform your Ninja into a compact and fully equipped production studio. This component enables advanced multi-input switching from four 1080p HDMI sources, graphical overlays, and the ability to use a USB UVC webcam for enhanced network conferencing and streaming.

SSD storage

Ninja is compatible with the Atomos Master Caddy II and Master Caddy III 2.5-inch hard drives, which support storage directly to hard drives. You can also store on compact AtomX SSDmini drives and CFAST II cards with a separately available adapter.

Flow options

The L-series battery case on the back of the Ninja supports NP-F L-series batteries, which deliver 5.8-7.2 V. The USB-C port supports 30W PD power delivery via an included cable. Use the included dummy eliminator to power the display from DC power supplies.

Steering options

The multi-function buttons work together with the touchscreen interface to provide intuitive local control. Canon and Sony cameras can use the Atomos Open Standard-enabled HDMI automatic camera shutter release. An optional CONNECT module allows you to unlock Bluetooth and RF remote control.
