Atomos has been developing cutting-edge monitoring and recording technology for more than a decade. The Shinobi II has been redesigned with a new, thinner housing and 50% brighter HDR display, but still features all of Atomos' renowned screen processing technology and professional tracking tools, as well as exciting new device features such as camera control. You can control Canon, Panasonic or Sony cameras via USB-C, and Z CAM cameras via an optional USB-C to serial cable. Thanks to its low power consumption and powerful hardware, the Shinobi II runs all day on a single battery charge. Enhance your images with precision using our advanced exposure tools such as false colour, seepro, histograms, waveforms and vector scopes. A multi-tool analysis view gives you all the essential information at a glance. There's even a selfie mirror mode for vloggers. Shinobi II is the perfect accessory to enhance any photo or video production.

Camera control for a wide range of cameras Take advantage of the versatility of USB-C to control most new mirrorless or SLR cameras from Canon, Panasonic and Sony, as well as popular compact cinema cameras from Z CAM's E2 line.

Check the status of your camera at a glance Use the camera status indicator to check the status of the camera's internal recording settings, battery status and remaining recording time. A red edge indicator shows when the camera is recording internally, whether triggered from the camera or from the Shinobi II.

You get perfect exposure. Every time. Combine the Shinobi II's ability to adjust the camera's lens aperture, shutter speed/angle and ISO with its built-in exposure tools such as false colour, waveforms, seepro or histogram, and achieve perfect exposure in every shot.

Go beyond the limitations of small camera screens Enjoy the 50% brighter - 1500nit high brightness, 5-inch, high-resolution HDR touchscreen, whether you're shooting in the studio or in bright sunlight.

Monitor various input signals The Shinobi II is equipped with a single HDMI 1.4 port and allows you to monitor signals at different resolutions and frame rates. In particular, 4K DCI and 4K UHD at up to 30p, and 1080p HD signals at up to 60p.

HDR monitoring and LUT support Use the HDR HLG and HDR PQ monitor modes to preview what the camera's LOG output might look like in HDR, or load up to 8 LUTs into Shinobi's built-in storage to preview your shots in your favourite LUTs.

Framing guides for each medium Use a variety of film-style or social media-focused framing guides to compose your images for each medium. Shinobi II comes packaged with presets 2.41, 2.35, 1.91, 1.9, 1.85, 16:9, 9:16, 4:5, 2:3, 1:1, 5:4, 4:3, 3:2.

Light and adaptable While we've added even more device features, we've managed to keep the Shinobi II's weight incredibly low, at just 210 grams, and added holes in the base for locator pins for more secure attachment in any situation. The battery compartment is positioned in the centre of the device to improve balance and mobility, while the included HDMI & USB-C locking adapter allows you to use Atomos' new locking cables for rock-solid connectivity.

Flexible flow options You can power the Shinobi II with NP-F batteries, an optional battery drainer connected to our DC barrel via a D-Tap cable or via USB-C PD (10W input). You can also charge/power your camera via USB-C PD (13W output), while using the Shinobi II's camera control features.
