The Benro B4 ball head comes with a handy quick-fix plate (PU-70), which allows about 4cm of adjustment lengthwise. This allows you to adjust the centre of gravity as needed. The bottom of the plate also has safety pins to prevent the plate from coming loose in extreme positions. The ball head has an adjustable locking system that allows you to adjust the rigidity of the ball's movement. This allows you to move the camera without adjusting the tension levers while providing adequate support.

The Benro B4 is particularly good in situations where you need to change camera direction quickly. It is also ideal for panoramic photography. Horizontal movement is possible while locked, so you can move the camera sideways even when the ball is locked.
