The Canon EOS 90D is a smart camera for stills and video, with a streamlined DLSR design that is tried and tested and almost classic in its styling. Inside, of course, is the latest 32.5MP APS-C CMOS sensor. This upgraded sensor design makes images sharp, with good resolution, dynamics and excellent sensitivity (ISO 25600). Combined with advanced image processing, the sensor is capable of producing video at UHD 4K30fps and FullHD 120fps and even 10fps for stills. When working with the optical viewfinder, the 45-point cross-focus points are fast in a wide range of lighting situations and comfortably track the subject.However, you can use the camera like a modern mirrorless device by shooting from the rear screen, giving you a whopping 5481 Dual Pixel CMOS focus points that are not only accurate, but fast. Video focus in particular is the best in the business. Shooting is a thing in itself but the physical stuff is worth mentioning, with the multi-pixel LCD giving you a nice freedom in composing your picture. The optical pentaprism is of course bright and good to use. Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity allows images to be transferred wirelessly.

32.5MP APS-C CMOS sensor. Resolution doesn't affect image quality, and low light isn't a problem either, as the sensitivity will go from ISO 100 up to 25600 if necessary. The combination of sensor and processor is fast, and images can be snapped at up to 10 frames per second, and video can be pushed at 4K resolution at 30 frames per second, not to mention the top speed of fullHD resolution at 120 frames per second.

45-point cross AF and Dual Pixel CMOS AF. When shooting through the optical viewfinder, the widely spread 45 cross phase focus points are fast and accurate even in -3 EV light conditions. If you use telephoto lenses, 27 of the points can focus down to f/8. When shooting video, two separate photodiodes on each pixel lock focus quickly and accurately, in the same way as a video camera by moving the focus.

Body design and wirelessness. The LCD touchscreen has 1.04 million pixels and rotates in multiple directions for intuitive and ergonomic shooting. The pentaprism viewfinder provides 100% of screen coverage for precise composition. The included LP-E6N battery gives you around 1300 shots per charge. Built-in Wi-Fi allows for easy wireless image and video sharing.

You can shoot 4K time-lapse or extract 4K frames from video.
