Fulfilled all expectations. The necessary tools were found quite quickly and easily.
I haven't had the time to look into the software in great depth yet, but on a quick inspection it seemed to be a very competent and professional program. It is certainly not inferior to competing software, but the fact that you can buy it all at once is a plus.
Having switched from Lightroom, it's a bit annoying that I couldn't transfer images from my own camera directly to the USB cable; I have to use a card reader. On the other hand, the card reader is faster than the USB of the camera. Otherwise, the program has exceeded expectations. The workflow took a bit of searching but good results are perhaps even a little easier to find than in Lightroom. Especially the skin tone management works very well in the program. Capture one seems to respond to commands a little faster than lightroom. The main reason to switch was the possibility to buy a perpetual license, which lightroom no longer offers.vi
It has everything you need, at least for the more advanced hobbyist, with good instructions for the various activities.
I bought Caputure One when I wanted a programme I could buy as my own. I don't have extensive experience in editing images yet, but all the YouTube tutorials are always telling me to use either Adobe Lightroom or Capture One. And when Fotomonza gave me a good deal on a C1 with the purchase of a lens, I didn't have to think twice. Tethering was of particular interest and that's where the C1 excels over its competitors, according to reports.
