40MP X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor, X-Processor 5 The high-resolution 40.2 megapixel X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor features an improved image processing algorithm that increases resolution without compromising signal-to-noise ratio. This sensor is designed to absorb light more efficiently thanks to an improved pixel structure. The new sensor model is partnered with the new X-Processor 5 processor, which uses 64-bit processing to achieve 3x faster speeds for both video and still image tasks. The combination of this high-resolution sensor and processor ensures ultra-fast performance, wide dynamic range and incredible image quality even at higher ISO sensitivities.

Powerful video capabilities Thanks to the combination of sensor and processor, the X100VI has a powerful video function that can record movies internally at up to 6.2K resolution at 30p in 10-bit colour. It also features 4K HQ mode, which upsamples 6.2K footage for better 4K results. Higher frame rate video is also available at 4K 60p or FHD 240p.

Image stabilisation and improved autofocus Thanks to an upgraded sensor-processor combination, the X100VI is the first in the series to feature an image stabilizer on the body. A five-way image stabilizer, based on the shift of the sensor, helps minimise camera shake by up to six apertures. Improved image processing also enhances autofocus performance, delivering a faster and smarter hybrid focusing system with 425 phase detection points. Through deep learning, this focusing system better recognises and tracks different subjects, ensuring that the magic moment is never missed.

A structure suited to speed and streetscape The X100VI is ready for action, no matter how fast the target. A super-fast electronic shutter speed of 1/180,000 seconds and a maximum mechanical shutter speed of 1/4,000 seconds stop your subject in motion. Hold down your finger and the X100VI captures images at up to 20 frames per second at 1.29x electronic shutter speed and 11 frames per second at mechanical shutter speed.

Fujinon 23mm f/2 lens The fifth-generation update of the Fujino 23mm f/2 lens features a redesigned optical construction incorporating two aspherical elements for improved sharpness and clarity by reducing spherical aberration and distortion. The lens' bright f/2 aperture copes with low-light conditions and allows the creation of shallow depth of field. When the light is bright, the built-in 4 aperture ND filter can be used to control exposure and work with shallow depth of field. Although the lens is a fixed focal length lens, the X100VI has integrated 1.4x and 2x digital teleconversion settings to simulate the effect of longer focal lengths (49mm and 70mm).

Advanced hybrid display The advanced hybrid detector combines optical and electronic detection, so you can choose between the simplicity and familiarity of the OVF detector and the versatility of the EVF detector. The optical viewfinder provides a clear and vivid view of the subject to facilitate image composition and subject tracking. Thanks to an improved design, it incorporates an electronic rangefinder that mimics the functionality of a mechanical rangefinder while simultaneously displaying the electronic viewfinder data on the optical viewfinder for comparative manual focusing.

Film simulation facilities Film simulation modes allow you to emulate the look and feel of many FUJIFILM film types. The X100VI features FUJIFILM's latest recipe-REALA ACE-as well as 19 other modes, including Provia, Velvia, Astia, Classic Chrome, PRO Neg.Std, PRO Neg. Hi, Classic Neg., Nostalgic Neg., Eterna Cinema, Eterna Bleach Bypass, Acros, Acros Ye Filter, Acros R Filter, Acros G Filter, Black & White, Black & White Ye Filter, Black & White R Filter, Black & White G Filter and Sepia. In addition to tracking certain film types, a Grain Effect mode is also available, which simulates the appearance of old film images with an organic texture, which is particularly pronounced when printing. Color Chrome and Color Chrome Blue effects deepen colour, hue and gradation with higher saturation colours.

Frame.io Camera-to-Cloud integration Deliver your photos or videos directly to the cloud as soon as you create them with the first optional Frame.io Camera to Cloud integration. Use the camera's built-in Wi-Fi or Ethernet LAN to connect to Frame.io and deliver high-resolution raw or JPEG images, send h.264 video streams or upload videos for secure review.

• The top plate features a series of lockable knobs and levers for quick and intuitive exposure control, including controls for shutter speed and exposure compensation.
