      The USB-C connector didn't go all the way to the bottom on the desktop, but the cable with the included USB-A adapter works. USB-C also works on a laptop.

      Reads about 250MB/s from a Lexar 280MB/s SD card as long as the target disk is fast enough, only about 200MB/s on the slower SSD.

      Well, I can't think of anything wrong with it. The transfer speed from a Lexar CFexpress Pro Gold R900/W800 - VPG400 Type-A 320GB card is very good. At least there was no more painful waiting for the transfer.

      Lexar CFexpress Pro Gold R900/W800 - VPG400 Type-A 320GB card has a transfer speed of 500-700MB/s depending on what is transferred via the USB 3.1 Gen 2 interface. Theoretically, the card should have a read speed of 900MB/s. The write speed of the nvme drive on the machine is 2700MB/s. Presumably the card is the limiting factor as you can't quite reach the maximum speed.

      The Type A to Type C cable supplied with the card is quite short, about 20cm. It wouldn't hurt if it was a bit longer. Otherwise, no complaints about the device.
