The NiSi SMC UV L395 series of special thin filters are made of very high quality Japanese multi-coated optical glass on both sides. The high quality manufacturing process ensures a very high light transmission and a very smooth surface that prevents reflections. The SMC UV L395 filter cuts UV light below 395NM wavelength. The 3mm thick body, made of very high quality aluminium, is one of the thinnest on the market, making the filter an excellent choice even for super wide-angle lenses. In addition, the filter body's matte finish and roughening add to its durability and comfort of use. All materials used in manufacturing comply with the European Union's RoHS environmental directive on restrictions on hazardous substances. A filter thread on the front of the filter allows the use of a lens cover or other filters in combination with the UV filter.
