The new LUMIX G 25mm / F1.7 ASPH lens has retained its compact size and light weight despite the F1.7 luminosity. The large aperture allows for beautifully softened backgrounds in images and encourages creativity in video and photography by allowing you to work without flash, even in low light. The practical 50mm cinema conversion lens is ideal for capturing a wide range of subjects thanks to its natural angle of view, with a viewing angle and perspective almost identical to the human eye.

The new lens structure contains 8 elements in 7 groups. They include two aspherical lenses and one Ultra-High Refractive Index (UHR) element to ensure a uniform image and centre-to-edge sharpness without chromatic aberration or distortion. The lens has an internal focusing system that ensures excellent accuracy from the closest focusing distance to infinity. The stepping motor ensures smooth and quiet focusing, making it ideal for both still and video photography. The Contrast AF system on Lumix G DSLMs can also be used in conjunction with the ultra-fast 240fps frame rate.

The seven blade shutter forms a circular aperture, which allows for beautifully blurred areas when shooting at low aperture values. A highly durable metal mount ensures durability for everyday use and multi-coated optical elements reduce ghosting and reflections to a minimum.
