The new advanced LUMIX G X VARIO PZ 14-42 mm / F3.5-5.6 ASPH./POWER O.I.S. interchangeable lens for LUMIX G Micro System cameras meets the requirements of the Micro Four Thirds System standard. It features an electrically operated zoom. X is the new symbol for quality lenses. It encapsulates Panasonic's optical technologies. With the new X comes true-to-life surface patterns and sharp edge-to-edge contrast. The unique Nano Surface Coating reduces ghosting and reflections. Images have a natural feel. The lens system consists of nine lenses divided into 8 groups, so contrast remains excellent throughout the zoom range. With four aspherical lenses, the size has been reduced and distortion is kept to a minimum, even at the 28 mm wide-angle setting. 2 ED lenses effectively correct chromatic aberration. The compact zoom lens is extremely compact and lightweight. It weighs around 95 grams, so it's easy to carry around.

Panasonic's Nano Surface Coating technology reduces reflections across the entire visible light range (380-780 nm) by applying a refractive nanocoating to the lens surface. The image is incredibly clear, as ghosting and reflections are significantly reduced. The internal focusing system is based on a stepping motor. Superior optics ensure incredible smoothness and support the ultra-fast autofocus of LUMIX G cameras.
