44.3 megapixel full-capacity CMOS sensor and L2 engine

The newly developed 44.3 megapixel full-capacitor CMOS sensor offers a balanced approach to high resolution, speed and low-light performance. Compared to its predecessor, the S1R II features enhanced processing with an L2 engine that provides:

• An extended dynamic range for improved highlight and shadowing
• Up to 40 frames per second AF-C/AF-S shooting, making it ideal for sports and nature photography
• High-resolution mode allows 177 megapixel composite images to be produced even when shooting handheld
• The camera can produce up to 177 megapixel images using high-resolution mode
• Improved colour science for more natural and realistic image reproduction
• Improved noise reduction for cleaner images at high ISO values (ISO 40-102400 expandable)

To maximise detail, the 177 megapixel high-resolution mode allows you to create ultra-high resolution composite images using cell-shift technology, perfect for landscape and studio photography.

8K 30p & 4K 120p 10-bit video with ProRes RAW HQ
