The Rode NTG1 is an extremely lightweight, yet durable professional-grade shotgun microphone for all types of audio production. The Rode NTG1 condenser microphone is well suited for use with both DSLR and video cameras. The microphone is powered by Phantom power. The microphone can be attached to the camera's equipment box with separate clamps, or used on the end of a boom, e.g. with a Blimp.

If you do not have Phantom power available from your camera, or other power source, we recommend that you select Rode NTG2 a microphone that also works with AA batteries

The microphone has a sensitivity of 20Hz-20kHz and is equipped with a high-pass filter. The filter is able to avoid low frequencies, so that e.g. traffic noise does not come through as strongly.
