The Sigma SE 16mm F1.4 DC DN Contemporary is a blend of wide angle and extreme speed. The highly anticipated new lens is the equivalent of a 24mm/32mm focal length, suitable for Sony's E and MFT bayonets. Neither manufacturer offers comparable lenses, and the closest ones cost considerably more. Although the price tag is slightly lighter, Sigma has not skimped on lens construction or optical quality. The lens is built using a number of low-dispersion and asphaherical lenses, which produce a very sharp and clear image with no chromatic aberrations regardless of the aperture selected.
