Sigma 24mm f/1.4 DG DN Art - the expected native Sony E Art

The Sigma 24mm f/1.4 DG DN Art is the wider basic lens and this is a must for any self-respecting photographer. This replaces the Sigma  integral adapter/lens combo. This is a Sony proprietary GM in glass compared to a slightly larger wide-angle obiska which is easy to take with you and therefore suitable for street photography, for example. One of the standard focal lengths is handy for many subjects such as landscape, street or reportage photography. The maximum aperture of f/1.4 is great for slightly darker situations. The optical formula consists of two FLD and one Special-Low Dispersion element which is in your best interest to help you achieve good colour fidelity and sharpness. The Super Multi-Layer coating is of course there to eliminate reflections. In addition, four aspherical elements provide further correction and all of this makes the glass a great facility for astrophotography.

Focusing is implemented with stepper motors for fast and quiet AF performance, suitable for both light and video modes. The lens also features a manual aperture ring and an all-metal body with programmable AFL button. The autofocus can be used to focus on the subject.

The dimmer is equipped with nine rounded leaves that make the background softening smooth. All these refinements are in a weatherproof environment.

Part of the acclaimed Art series in Sigma's Global Vision range, this lens aims for performance with a graceful design, it's deft to handle with good optical sorting ability. The lens will naturally also work on APS-C format cameras although it is designed for cinema size cameras, with a focal length equivalent to 36mm cinema glass on these smaller format cameras.

The aperture bracket in position A allows the aperture to be adjusted from the body. The bayonet is bronze to make the connection tight and sturdy. Rubber gasket keeps out dust and moisture.

The optical formula of the lens consists of 17 elements in 14 groups, including the elements mentioned above.
NPC (Nano Porous Coating) coating repels dirt and water. The bayonet is brass.

In addition to the front filter, the lens also has a place for a filter at the back.
