Sigma 28mm f/1.4 A DG HSM Art - for many, the true normal lens

A popular wide-angle prime, the Sigma 28mm f/1.4 A DG HSM Art is a versatile lens with a classic wide angle of view suitable for everything from street photography to landscapes. The stunningly bright, fast f/1.4 maximum aperture size is ideal for low-light conditions and offers great control over depth of field and isolating your subject from the background. An advanced optical formula featuring both low dispersion glass, and aspherical elements to reduce chromatic aberration so your images are bright and sharp. In addition to its optical merits, the Sigma 28mm f/1.4 A DG HSM is equipped with a Hyper Sonic motor that delivers fast and smooth autofocus performance, with full-time manual override. The physical construction starts with a brass bayonet that is stiff and precise. It is surrounded by rubber seals against moisture and dust. In addition, a rounded nine-blade dimmer makes the bokeh creamy enough.

As part of the Sigma Global Vision series, this is what is known as Art glass, a series of lenses renowned for their optical performance suitable for creative and artistic subjects. The lens is designed for cinema size, or full-frame cameras, but it also works perfectly on APS-C bodies. In these, the viewing angle produced by the lens is equivalent to a focal length of 44.8mm in cinema terms.

Two F Low Dispersion (FLD) and three Special Low Dispersion (SLD) elements in the optical formula mostly eliminate colour leaks and chromatic aberrations, so the image is sharp and the colour accuracy is suitable for the hobbyist's eye. The three aspherical elements reduce distortion and spherical aberrations, thus also improving sharpness and image definition. The super multi layer coating makes images neutral in colour without any haze or reflections. The front element protective coating repels water and grease.

The lens is compatible Sigma USB-telakan to update the lens firmware and fine-tune its features.
