SmallRig Quick Release Clamp and Plate ( Arca-type Compatible) 2144 consists of an Arca-type clamp and quick release plate. The tightness of the clamp can be adjusted by a small screw on the lever so it works fine with most Arca-type plates. The plate is attached to the bottom of the camera or cages with screws. The clamp also has several 1/4’’-20, 3/8’’-16 threaded holes so you can attach tripods, jibs and other gear.

Great clamp. I added three of them to my video rig so I can quickly remove the camera from most of the setup and the video plate, and it works great. If you plan to use multiple clamps like I do, I recommend pairing them all with the same plate. I tried buying just the clamp and pairing it with different Arca-Swiss clamps I had at home, but since they were all slightly different, I had to adjust the tightening screw constantly, which was inconvenient. When paired with the same plate, the experience is much better.
High-quality and convenient Arca quick-release with quick-release fastener. When properly adjusted, the camera stays firmly in place and with the locking lever in the centre position, you can adjust the camera's balance without dropping the camera. Only when the locking lever is in the rear position can the camera be released by lifting it directly upwards. Only the lock adjustment bolt (when the lock is open) is very sensitive to rotation, so that after a few openings the locking lever no longer locks the pieces together firmly enough, so a suitable Allen key should always be available. I tried to solve this rather big problem by putting a few layers of ptfe tape (teflon tape/pipe tape) on the threads of the hex bolt to keep the adjustments in place. It seems to work better now, although I haven't had a chance to try this tune-up in practice yet..
