The Sony E 15mm f/1.4 G is Sony's fastest APS-C lens to date, offering a large aperture, compact size and high image quality. The lens is ideal for travel, street, landscape, architectural or astrophotography photography. In addition, the very fast and quiet focusing motor makes video and vlogging a breeze.

The multi-purpose focal length of 15 mm is equivalent to 22.5 mm in cinema size. The ultra-fast f/1.4 aperture allows for smooth background blur and low-light shooting. Three aspherical elements plus two ED elements and a super ED element produce sharp images without distortion. Seven rounded dimmer blades ensure natural soft bokeh blurring.

Two separate linear AF motors provide quiet, fast and accurate autofocusing. In addition, focus breathing during focusing is minimised by Smooth Motion Optics (SMO). A button on the side of the lens allows quick switching between auto and manual focus.

The aperture ring on the lens makes it easy to adjust the aperture, and the ring can be operated in a graduated way, so you can feel a slight resistance and hear a click when you move the ring. For video shooting, the ring can be switched to infinitely variable mode for silent and smooth aperture changes. The side of the lens also features an adaptive focus hold button, which can be programmed with the desired function from the body.

The lens is equipped with a weather seal to prevent dust and moisture from entering the lens.
