The Sony ZV-E10 II is an improved version of the previous model, designed specifically for content producers. It features a 26MP APS-C sensor, offering faster performance and high quality images in a compact format. The device features creative shooting modes, a 3-caps directional microphone and a 3″ flexible LCD touchscreen with vertical support and integrated indicator light, making it a versatile vlogging device. Other notable upgrades include a 759-point phase-discrimination autofocus system, Cinematic Vlog mode, an AI processing unit and compatibility with higher-capacity NP-FZ100 batteries.

The 3″ 1.04m-dot touchscreen LCD ensures that you can easily take pictures of yourself or selfies. When you take a photo, an integrated indicator light creates a red border around the LCD screen. If you're shooting vertically for TikTok or Instagram, the LCD rotates to display the information vertically.

The directional 3-capsule microphone is specifically designed for forward recording for vlogging and interviews. The included windscreen minimises distortion when filming outdoors.

The device includes both 3.5mm microphone and headphone jacks for more advanced recording, and the Multi Interface Shoe also supports recording features. This accessory shoe supports a digital audio interface that helps achieve less noise during recording and eliminates cable clutter and the need for external power when using compatible shoe-mounted microphones.

The ZV-E10 II's interfaces include a micro-HDMI video output and USB-C data transfer, allowing video to be shared to a PC or compatible mobile device. You can even live stream to social media using the USB-C data port or integrated 5GHz WiFi. The USB-C data port also supports fast wireless transfer to a compatible device via the Sony Creators App. RTMP, RTMPS and SRT streaming protocols are supported, as well as UVC standards, allowing you to use the camera as a web camera.

The Product Showcase setting is ideal for vlogging and product reviews or demonstrations, and allows fast and smooth focus transitions between the subject's face and the object in front of the lens.

The Background Defocus function allows you to instantly switch to the maximum aperture setting of the attached lens using a custom push-button action, allowing you to distinguish your subject using a shallow depth of field and bokeh.

Focus Breathing Compensation actively corrects any visual distortion that may occur when you manually or automatically adjust the camera focus.

Slow & Quick (S&Q) mode allows shooters to record Full HD video in specified steps between 1-120 fps. These settings allow you to slow down the action as well as speed up a slow-moving scene.

The ZV-E10 II features an APS-C 26MP Exmor CMOS sensor that delivers smooth, nuanced image quality with minimal noise. A wide sensitivity range of ISO 100-32000 can be extended to a further ISO 102400 for improved low-light performance. The sensor works in conjunction with an upgraded BIONZ XR processor to deliver 8x faster performance and a wider 5.6K oversampling range.

The ZV-E10 II features fast hybrid 759-point phase-discrimination autofocus and an AI processing unit for enhanced target detection. Real-time Eye AF can prioritise focus on human or animal eyes to ensure accuracy when taking portraits. When selected, this function is activated by half-pressing the shutter button, and you can also choose whether to prioritise the right or left eye. Real-time tracking uses AI-based algorithms to automatically detect and track moving objects. If Face/Eye Priority AF is on, this tracking method will continue to track the subject's eye or face in real-time, depending on the state of the moving subject.

UHD 4K video recording is possible at up to 60p and uses full pixel count with 5.6K oversampling to deliver better detail resolution with less moiré and aliasing. Full HD 1080p recording also supports frame rates up to 120 fps, and both resolutions use 600 Mb/s XAVC HS and XAVC S-I formats with 4:2:2 sampling. The camera includes S-Cinetone and S-Log 3 colours, which offer greater control over adjustments and full use of the 14-stop dynamic range. You can also set LUTs or use Creative Looks mode to apply preset colour effects during shooting.

To accommodate the NP-FZ100 battery, the ZV-E10 II now has a slightly larger body, but still retains a compact shape for portability. When using the NP-FZ100 battery, you can now take around 610 shots per charge, which is 30% more than the previous model. Power can also be supplied to the camera via the USB-C port or using optional power adapters.

Designed for APS-C mirrorless camera sensors, the black Sony E PZ 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS II lens offers a versatile 24-75mm full-frame zoom angle in a compact design. The variable aperture f/3.5-5.6 helps keep lens size and weight to a minimum while making it suitable for most applications. When the camera is switched off, the lens retracts to just 1.25″.

Fast autofocus and an improved Optical SteadyShot image stabilizer resist hand-held camera shake for sharper images. Four aspherical elements and one Extra-Low Dispersion element ensure high-resolution images throughout the zoom range. The lens supports focus pulling up to 120 fps during shooting and autofocus during zooming, allowing intuitive one-person shooting with moving subjects.
