The Tamron 70-210MM F/4.0 Di VC USD is a truly compact and optically high-quality telephoto zoom that offers excellent focusing speed, effective image stabilisation and a short focusing distance, all at a fixed F4 aperture. The lens is ideal for portraits, sports and documentary photography.

Fast and versatile

The new Tamrons are faster and more reliable in autofocusing than before, thanks to a combination of two microprocessors and new targeting algorithms. One of the microprocessors takes care of focusing and the other of the image stabilizer, which can stabilize camera movement by up to 4 apertures. The powerful image stabilizer combined with the light weight and small size are the best selling points of this product.

Automatic focusing is faster and more reliable than before thanks to the Tamron USD focusing motor (Ultrasonic Silent Drive), thanks to two powerful microprocessors and a fine-tuned focusing algorithm. One of the processors is dedicated exclusively to autofocus, and the other to image stabilisation. Vibration Compensation (VC) stabilises camera movement by up to 4 apertures and is ideal for handheld shooting. Unlike its big brother Tamron 70-200 F2.8 G2, this product does not have a stand. The product is available arca-swiss compatible tripod stand, but thanks to its lightweight size, you can also easily use the camera tripod mount if necessary.

Like its big brother, the new 70-210 offers the shortest focusing distance in its class at just 95cm, providing a magnification ratio of 1:3.1, making it a much more versatile lens. The short focal length allows for light macro shooting and the most stunningly detailed facial images.

Weatherproof and fluoride coated

The Tamron 70-210MM F/4.0 Di VC USD continues with the same, stylish Tamron redesigned body construction, which is durable and highly weatherproofed with rubber seals. The rubber seals ensure that no moisture or dust enters the lens. So you can use the glass in harsher conditions without worry. The front lens is treated with a fluorite coating that prevents scratching and effectively repels dirt and grease, making it easy to clean.

The optical structure consists of 20 lens elements in 14 groups. Three of the lenses are made of Low Dispersion glass, which reduce chromatic aberration and produce a sharp image through the focal length.

The Tamron 70-210mm f/4 Di VC USD is compatible with the Tamron Tap-In console, which allows you to update the lens software or fine-tune focus and image stabilisation, for example.
