Zeiss Batis 18mm f/2.8

Thanks to its wide angle of view, the Zeiss Batis 2.8/18 lens allows you to capture impressive, high-quality architectural and interior images, even in confined spaces. Structure

The optical structure of the lens contains 11 lens elements in 10 groups. Four of the elements are aspherical on both sides and seven are made of special glass. The floating lens design allows for incredible image quality over the entire image area, regardless of the shooting distance.

In addition to fast and accurate autofocus, the lens' manual focus is highly sensitive and responsive, so you can choose the right focus mode for every shooting situation.

As with previous Batiks, the new lens has an OLED display that shows the focusing distance from the focal plane, as well as the depth of field at the selected aperture. Also when shooting with an APS-C camera, the lens automatically displays the actual depth of field range.

The entire Batis range is designed to be weatherproof and to withstand even the harshest weather conditions. They support all the features and functions of existing Sony E-series cameras.
