Exempt (Invoice) Sales

Foto Monza offers VAT-free shopping to tourists visiting Finland and to Finns living abroad.

Exempt sales require that the goods are sold to a traveller who is resident outside the EU and Norway. A person is resident outside the EU and Norway if he or she does not reside or stay permanently in an EU country or Norway. A continuous stay of at least six months is generally considered to be a continuous stay.

Finns living permanently or for at least six months outside the EU and Norway are also entitled to make tax-free purchases. Tax-free purchases can be made two weeks before moving abroad by showing the seller a work or residence permit. Finns living abroad can also make tax-free purchases while on holiday in Finland.

Purchases must be worth at least €40 and must be exported unopened from the EU within three months of the month of sale. Vero.fi -for more information on the tax authorities.

Full refund of VAT (invoice)

• The passport must be presented when you collect the product
• The goods are sealed in Foto Monza packaging and the necessary documents are submitted for customs clearance
• After the buyer leaves the EU, customs checks and stamps the documents
• The customs-stamped document must be delivered by hand or mailed to Foto Monza. By post, the VAT credit will be credited to the client's account, or you can take the credit in cash on the spot.
