ATOMOS Shinobi 7 - 7” 4K HDMI & SDI HDR Photo & Video Monitor
Excellent brightness and accuracy
Shinobi 7 combines the large screen of Shogun 7 with the lightweight, monitor-only functionality of the original Shinobi, for a next-level user experience. It has a calibrated peak brightness of 2200 nits, allowing it to be used in even the brightest environments without the need for a sun hood or conversion of Log inputs for HDR monitoring. Endless configuration options make the Shinobi 7 an ideal tool for the director or scrambler, programme or preview screen video selectors, and vloggers who want to provide their viewers with a complete view of the shooting scene.
Easy camera control
The Shinobi 7's intuitive touchscreen offers quick access to the camera's most important features. You can focus on the image and make dynamic adjustments to the dimmer, white balance, shutter speed and ND. The optional Atomos USB-C serial cable allows you to directly control the Z Cam E2 series cameras. The Shinobi 7's USB and RJ45 control ports also support future developments by adding more options for camera touchscreen control.
HDR in action
With Shinobi 7 you can see more than 10 values of the dynamic range in real time from Log/PQ/HLG signals. Combined with our unique HDR tracking features, Shinobi 7 simplifies the complexity of Log and HDR shooting and helps you mimic post-production workflows on the shoot. With adaptive cooling, you can prioritise reduced fan noise or peak screen brightness so the technology doesn't interfere with the story being told.
Built-in 3D LUT look-up table
You can use your own custom 3D LUT in addition to Log-HDR conversions, which you can feed down to other devices or as a live stream. You can load up to eight custom LUTs via an SD card slot at any time and choose between them instantly, keeping the creativity flowing. When using the selfie mode, the large screen acts as the perfect confidence screen, allowing you to apply LUTs to the camera output to achieve the look you want when capturing and get the perfect shot on camera.
The best features of AtomOS 10
Shinobi 7 takes advantage of the fast and intuitive AtomOS 10 platform, and is packed with a wide range of extensions and simple one-touch functionality. Shinobi includes focus, framing and exposure tracking tools, including Focus Peaking, Focus Assist edge sharpening, 4:1 / 2:1 / 1:1 Zoom punch in, Zebra, False Color, Cine and Social Frame Guides, SMPTE Safe Area, Waveform, RGB parade, vector scaling, anamorphic stretching and 3D LUT support.
Atomic ’Analysis’ mode
With the new Analysis function, you can now simultaneously see what you're shooting, view the waveform, histogram and vector scan for complete control over the image. You can even switch between different waveform, histogram and vector loop options on the fly with a single touch.
Strips
Enhance your video conferencing by using the optional Atomos Connect 4K, which converts the Shinobi 7's HDMI output to USB, giving you plug and play UVC (USB Video Class) output for computer streaming. Easily create a professional cinematic look and bring professional production values to your video conferencing.
Continuous current
With two battery slots, you can easily swap batteries during shooting and never run out of power. The Shinobi is designed to optimise battery usage during tracking, with the combination of two slots allowing you to use it all day long. A separate lockable DC power input allows you to connect mains power on location, and can be used with the optional DC-DTAP cable and V-lock batteries if you need power in the field.
Pro I/O and cross conversion
The Shinobi 7 supports up to 4Kp60 via HDMI inputs, and attaches to any video workflow by enabling cross conversion of 4K HDMI and 3G-SDI signals. The low-latency video signal output allows HDMI cameras to be connected to SDI workflows or vice versa without additional converters.
Factory and user calibration
Factory calibrated for Rec.709, Shinobi 7 also supports user calibration via the free Atomos Calibration software for continuous calibration, as all displays can drift over time. With the optional USB-A or USB-C serial interface cable and X-Rite's i1DisplayPro /Plus software, the calibration software easily automates the calibration of the display to ensure accurate and reliable monitoring results.
