The Boya BY-M2 is a lavalier button mike designed for mobile video production, with an omni directional pattern, meaning sounds are recorded from a 360-degree area of the microphone.

The microphone can be used on all iOS devices with a Lightning connector. In fact, the button itself has a 3.5mm plug on one end of the cord and a Lightning connector is provided with the included adapter. This means that the microphone can also be used without an adapter on any recording device with a 3.5mm plug.

The microphone does not need a separate battery, but is powered directly from a connected recording device, such as a smartphone.
