Canon EOS 250D on näppärä kamera niin stilleihin kuin videollekin, virtaviivainen DLSR design on hyväksihavaittu ja lähes klassinen muotoilultaan. Sisällä on maltillinen 24,1MP APS-C CMOS kenno ja DIGIC 8 prosessori. Mukavan kokoiset kuvat ja UHD 4K video ovat mahdollisia, ja herkkyysalue välillä ISO 100-25600 on varsin riittävä. Tämä päivitetty kennodesign tekee kuvista teräviä, hyvällä resoluutiolla, dynamiikalla ja erinomaisella herkkyydellä (ISO 25600). Yhdistettynä kehittyneeseen kuvan prosessointiin, kenno pystyy tuottamaan videota UHD 4K24fps ja jopa 5fps stillikuvat. Voit kuitenkin käyttää kameraa kuin modernia peilitöntä laitetta kuvaamalla 3 tuuman 1,04 miljoonan pisteen takanäytöltä. Optinen pentamirror on toki kirkas ja hyvä käyttää. Sisäänrakennettu Wi-Fi ja Bluetooth liitettävyys sallii kuvien siirtämisen langattomasti.

The Time-Lapse feature, which counts as a video feature, captures the subject over an extended period of time at intervals of 1 second to 60 minutes, from 2 to 3600 frames. These individual frames are compiled into 4K or fullHD video.

9-point Phase-Detection AF focuses when shooting through the viewfinder and in live view mode, Dual Pixel CMOS AF provides smooth and fast focusing when in focus. Focusing is similar to shooting with a camcorder. The system integrates two separate photodiodes in each pixel, giving a fairly nice number of focus points. Eye Detection AF prioritises focusing on the eye of the subject.
