The DJI Mic Mini's ultra-compact design and broad device compatibility is designed to help content creators improve the sound quality of their next vlog, livestream or social media video. The system can communicate with your DSLR/system camera or iOS/Android smartphone either wired or wirelessly. It can record clear and reliable audio from up to 400 metres away using a miniature clip-on omni-directional microphone/transmitter. The compact receiver can be attached to your camera or connected directly to the Lightning/USB port on your smartphone or laptop using the USB-C port or an optional mobile phone adapter.

Just like the Mic 2, the Mic Mini includes both 2.4 GHz digital wireless and Bluetooth technology. Bluetooth allows you to connect the transmitters to your DJI Mimo app via your iOS or Android device. You can even connect it directly to your Osmo Pocket 3, Osmo Action 4 or Osmo Action 5 Pro camera. You can change various settings via the Mimo app, such as noise cancellation and sound limiting. Both 3.5mm TRS and USB-C connections are available on the receiver unit, so it can be connected to a wide range of devices. The included 3.5 mm TRS camera audio cable allows you to connect your camera and synchronises the receiver power with the camera power. When the receiver is connected to your mobile device via USB-C, both the receiver and your smartphone can be charged simultaneously and clips can be viewed via external playback.

The Mic Mini is also wirelessly compatible with the DJI Neo drone using the DJI Fly app. Connect the Mic Mini to your smartphone via Bluetooth and open the DJI Fly app to record. The app will automatically remove the sound of the propellers and combine the recorded audio with the footage you're shooting.

Portable and practical microphones

• For a truly wireless experience, you can conveniently attach the transmitter to whatever you're wearing with the built-in back clip, without having to pull any wires to yourself or your talent. Other attachment options include a magnetic clip and lanyard, available separately.
• The transmitter weighs just 11 grams, so it doesn't weigh down your neck and doesn't turn outwards, which makes it look nice on camera.
• The built-in microphone has an omnidirectional listening pattern that ensures reliable speech recording even when the microphone placement is not ideal; the subject's voice is recorded clearly, intelligibly and consistently.
• Furry windscreens are supplied to effectively dampen wind noise while clearly recording the sound.

Intuitive controls

• You can use the transmitter's internal controls to switch between the two noise attenuation levels. The basic level is ideal for quiet interiors, reducing disturbance from fans, air conditioners and other echoing sounds while preserving vocals. The strong level is ideal for noisy environments, reducing background noise for clearer speech.
• Enable automatic limiting to lower the volume of the sound input, which prevents clipping and ensures reliable sound quality. This eliminates the need to adjust settings on the fly.
• When all else fails, you can quickly adjust the five volume levels using the control on the receiver unit.
• Safety track recording is available while you wait for a potential disturbance, recording a second track at a level 6 dB lower to ensure you have available sound in varying environments.
• Built-in rechargeable batteries in both the transmitter and receiver offer long operating times, 11.5 and 10.5 hours respectively. Charge the units for just five minutes to get an additional 1 hour of run time when both are discharged using the included charging cradle. In the DJI Mimo app, you can toggle the system to automatically power off, which will automatically shut down both units after 15 minutes if they are not connected, saving your battery life.
