40.2MP X-Trans CMOS 5 HR Sensor & X-Processor 5

The X-E5 borrows the 40.2MP APC-C X-Trans 5 HR sensor and X-Processor 5 image processing engine from the X100VI to capture vivid video up to 6.2K and impressive still images in Raw, JPEG, HEIF and TIFF formats. This upgraded image processing engine enables lower base ISO 125, reduces graininess and improves low-light performance, and enables integrated Deep Learning AI to detect a wider range of subjects for improved autofocus. Higher resolution gets closer to subjects through cropping, and the X-E5 offers this digital zoom at settings of 1.4 and 2.0x. The original ISO 125 - 12,800 is expandable, reaching 64 - 51,200 in photo mode and 64 - 25,600 in video mode.

It features a selection of FUJIFILM's preset Film Simulation modes and three user-definable modes that allow creators to customize and save their own recipes for quick recall in the field.

For media playback, preview and menu navigation, the X-E5 features a 3" touchscreen LCD with three-axis tilt and 1.04m-dot resolution. The X-E5's aluminium top plate features a rangefinder-style OLED lens on the left side of the camera. With 2.36m-dot resolution, .62x magnification and 100% coverage, the EVF provides a precise preview of the camera's image area.

This ultra-compact and lightweight XF 23mm f/2.8 R WR lens from FUJIFILM offers the flexibility of a focal length equivalent to 35mm. It is designed for photographers who demand high optical quality without compromising portability. Its rounded, 11-blade iris opens to a maximum aperture of f/2.8, producing a smooth, silky bokeh and ensuring good low-light performance.

At less than 2.5cm and weighing just 28 grams, the XF 23mm lens effectively preserves the design of any FUJIFILM X-mount camera it is attached to, while ensuring image quality with two aspherical elements that reduce distortion and spherical aberrations. The XF 23mm's focus can be controlled by AF or its manual focus ring, and subjects remain sharp at distances of up to 20cm.
