40.2MP X-Trans CMOS 5 HR Sensor & X-Processor 5

The X-E5 borrows the 40.2MP APC-C X-Trans 5 HR sensor and X-Processor 5 image processing engine from the X100VI to capture vivid video up to 6.2K and impressive still images in Raw, JPEG, HEIF and TIFF formats. This upgraded image processing engine enables lower base ISO 125, reduces graininess and improves low-light performance, and enables integrated Deep Learning AI to detect a wider range of subjects for improved autofocus. Higher resolution gets closer to subjects through cropping, and the X-E5 offers this digital zoom at settings of 1.4 and 2.0x. The original ISO 125 - 12,800 is expandable, reaching 64 - 51,200 in photo mode and 64 - 25,600 in video mode.

The selected setting on the dial is visible through a circular window in the X-E5's aluminium top plate. It features a selection of FUJIFILM's preset Film Simulation modes and three user-definable modes that allow creators to customize and save their own recipes for quick recall in the field.

Versatile video recording

Capable of capturing high-quality 6.2K, UHD 4K, DCI 4K, and Full HD footage in a variety of formats, the X-E5 is as reliable at recording video as it is at taking still images. The compact hybrid's AI-powered autofocus keeps subjects sharp, while its frame rate and compression settings ensure flexibility in post-production.

Dynamic availability

For media playback, preview and menu navigation, the X-E5 features a 3" touchscreen LCD with three-axis tilt and 1.04m-dot resolution. The X-E5's aluminium top plate features a rangefinder-style OLED lens on the left side of the camera. With 2.36m-dot resolution, .62x magnification and 100% coverage, the EVF provides a precise preview of the camera's image area.

Improved stabilisation

Designed for mobile photographers and videographers, the X-E5 packs image stabilisation into a compact, lightweight form factor, minimising camera shake in challenging conditions.
