Parabolic softboxes are ideal when you want high contrast and directional light. They are often used in portraits, because of their unique imprint and the contrast they bring to the face. The strong directionality also prevents light from escaping, often in smaller spaces the problem is that the light bounces back and forth. You can further limit the light with a separately purchased honeycomb cell, and soften it with the included diffusion screens. However, we recommend using the Godox P90L box without the honeycomb, as the light it produces is already highly directional even without the honeycomb.

Godox softboxes are of excellent quality and easily match those of more expensive manufacturers. Can easily withstand indoor and outdoor gigging and is very lightweight, however, the Godox P90L is better for the studio as it is not as quick to assemble as, for example, a Lencartan Profoldin.
