The 290 Xtra is a 3-section aluminium chassis. Key features of the tripod include the ability to choose from four different angles of the tripod legs, which greatly increases the photographer's shooting possibilities. A fast centre column adds flexibility and increases the min-max height range. A new rubber foot guard ensures a comfortable grip on the tripod and an ergonomic working position. The stand is supplied with a shoulder bag.

The new 290 Xtra stand is supplied as a kit with the new, updated 804 three-way head with quick-release plate for easy transport. It features retractable handlebar grips that can be hidden when not in use. The new, ergonomic handles are covered in rubber for a good grip. The ball head is made of polymer, which makes it lightweight and ensures high mechanical resistance for a stable support.
