However, the Nikkor 50mm has no ”basic” quality other than the name. Excellent draw with beautiful colours and bokeh is achieved even from full aperture. The compact size of the lens makes it comfortable to carry around for all situations and is suitable for almost any situation, be it landscapes, potshots or general photography.

The optical formula includes 3 special elements to ensure that there is no chromatic aberration, ghosting or reflections. Colours are reproduced with beautiful naturalness and contrast is excellent. The lens incorporates Nikkor's excellent nanocoating and is also dust and splash resistant, features often only found on much more expensive Nikkor products.
