NiSi 15mm - F4 Nikon Z-Mount - NiSi consumer lens

The NiSi 15mm F4 for the Nikon Z bayonet is a manual focus ultra-wide angle. The lens is really wide especially on 35mm cinema cameras, with a staggering 112° angle of view which is wider than the 15mm focal length usually produces. In terms of angle of view, the glass is equivalent to a 14.5mm focal length.

Since it is convenient to make wide angles for mirrorless cameras, the size of the obiscus is very small. The weight is only 470 grams and the external dimensions are comparable to those of an average mobile phone. The lens is easy to carry everywhere and is therefore ideal for everything from nature and star photography to street, action and creative portrait photography with its unique ultra-wide angle style. The all-metal construction of the body gives the lens durability and safety even in harsh conditions. The internal surfaces of the lens have a matte finish on the front and back to avoid reflections and glare. Focusing is smooth, accurate and reliable thanks to the ball bearings in the focusing ring.

Despite the wide angle, the lens has a 72mm filter thread and supports standard 72mm circular filters and of course the popular NiS 100 mm filter holder systems. Using filters is easy and fun.

The optical structure, or technical jargon, consists of 12 elements in 10 groups, with one double-sided aspherical element and two ultra-low dispersion elements for optical performance. The optical structure allows the lens to produce minimal chromatic aberration, distortion and vignetting.

Film technology prevents reflection to improve light transmission and reduce lens flare and stray light. Ten direct dimming blades allow the lens to produce star patterns from f/4 to f/22, and the optical design means there are no reflections in the star patterns. This breaks the traditional formula of requiring a small aperture to create a constellation.

The shortest focusing distance of the lens is 0.2 metres, which helps to create a stunning visual effect of foreground subjects in your images.
