NiSi 112mm Circular NC ND8 (3 Stop) is designed to reduce the amount of light entering the camera by 3 stops.

This filter is made of high-quality optical glass with a nanocoating to ensure that no detail is lost. Neutral density filters do not affect the colour of the image, and the 1.8 density offers a 6 aperture reduction of the light entering the lens.

The ND filter darkens the entire image, allowing the use of a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. A wider aperture or slower shutter speed allows you to control depth of field and convey movement in your images.

The ND8 3 Stop filter is commonly used for waterfalls and water flow photography at shutter speeds from 0.5 seconds to 2 seconds.

The use of neutral density filters makes the camera vulnerable to infrared light, which causes an unwanted red tint to images when shooting at low apertures. The infrared protection coating added to this filter helps to eliminate the infrared light coming through the lens and restore the natural colour.

NiSi's ultra-thin filter uses multi-coated lens technology on both sides, made from high-quality optical glass. The frame is made of brass by precision brass milling.

The NiSi 112mm Circular NC ND8 (3 Stop) filter features an exclusive ”U” type anti-reflective nanocoating and a hardened waterproof coating.
