This stargazer's dream lens is equipped with Sigma's latest HSM engine, which delivers outstanding and silent performance. The 1.8 aperture allows significantly lower sensitivities for stargazing and for that alone, already better image quality. Combine this with the incredible draw and resolution of the Sigma Art series and you have an unprecedented product. The resolution is well within the range of today's high-resolution cameras.

As an example, for example, basic star photography settings for the sky are ISO3200, 30s and F2.8, with Sigma's new ISO 1250 in exactly the same situation. With a lower ISO, you get significantly less noise and better dynamics, both of which are essential for star photography.

The closest focusing distance is 27cm, which, combined with the powerful optics, also creates many new possibilities for architectural, documentary and detail photography. The only real drawback is that the lens does not accept traditional filters, due to the convex lens. However, we have a solution for this too, with high quality NiSi filters, which can be used to NiSi Filter Holder S5 with the help of a kit.

The lens is also compatible with the Sigma USB dock, which can be used to update the lens firmware and fine-tune its features.
