The SmallRig Cage for Canon EOS R5 & R6 2982 is a moulded cage that provides protection around the camera and a variety of mounting options. The cage attaches to the camera with 1/4″-20 threaded holes in the base and 3/8″-16 threaded holes in the base. The base is designed to prevent rotation and also has a rubber base to prevent rotation and scratching of the camera. It also has a cold shoe at the top for attaching the mic. The base of the cage is Arca Swiss compatible, allowing you to quickly attach the rig to an Arca compatible tripod head. We recommend the SmallRig Top Handle 1984 or HTN2439 top handles for the cage. A separately purchased cable clamp 2981 can be attached to hold the cables firmly in place. The top and both sides have ARRI guide rails. These can be conveniently attached to the SmallRig ARRI Locating Handle 2165 and SmallRigBall Head Magic Arm 2115. The cage does not block access to the gates. Strap holes are included so you can add the separately available PAC2456, PSW2398 or PSC2428 hand strap to your device. A screwdriver is also built into the bottom of the cage for tightening the camera screw. The cage also has an integrated Arca-style plate for mounting the tripod.
