Sony A6400 is a fast, flexible, compact and stable APS-C format mirrorless camera from Sony packed with features only found in cinema cameras. The stars of these features are the world's fastest autofocus, with the ability to lock on to a subject in as little as 0.02 seconds.The focus is also an industry first, with Real-time Eye AF and Real-Time Tracking capabilities, coupled with fast shooting at up to 11 frames per second, and silently at 8 frames per second, both with AF/AE tracking. The device features the latest Bionz X image processing engine, a fully 180° tilting LCD touchscreen, UHD 4K video recording from the entire sensor without pixel wastage, internal recording for time-lapse video and much more.

The Sony A6400 is ideal for photographers and videographers, from professionals to vloggers. It is built around a 24.2 megapixel Exmor CMOS sensor interpreted by the Bionz X image processor. The clean image comes from a wide sensitivity range, extending from ISO 100-102400. The sensor's readout speed is also comfortably fast, so internal 4k30 and FullHD 1080p120 video at full pixel count is under control. The processor also allows Sony's S&Q (Slow & Quick) Motion shooting which gives you direct boom slowdown/slowdown at speeds of 1-120 fps, plus the HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma) image profile for shooting HDR footage, and of course both S-Log2 and S-Log3 for colour definition. Style photographers will also benefit from the processing speed, which allows you to shoot at 11 fps for 116 frames (jepg) or 46 frames (RAW). RAW files are 14-bit. The sensor and processor work together to provide 425 phase detect focus points and 425 contrast detect focus points. The focus system also includes Real-time Eye AF, which offers more accuracy, speed, and tracking performance than the older Eye AF method. Real-time Tracking uses AI-based object detection that recognizes colors, object distance and depth, and patterns, so any object is easily seen in both video and stills. The Sony Alpha a6400 is a fast and accurate shooting tool for multimedia work.
