The movement of the cameraman has little effect on images at reasonable shutter speeds. The XD linear focusing motor is fast and quiet, and manual operation is responsive. In addition to a refined user experience, the lens features an advanced optical formula that incorporates an aspherical element and three extra-low dispersion elements that reduce a wide range of distractions and images are sharp and bright throughout the zoom range.. Optimised optical and mechanical design ensures top zoom performance on APS-C bodies (equivalent: 105-525 mm). G Lens lenses maintain good quality throughout the zoom range, right up to the edges of the image.
