Tamron's new and fast 20-40mm f/2.8 Di III VXD is a versatile and unrivalled standard zoom lens. Equipped with a Sony E-bayonet, this compact and lightweight lens is ideal for everyday shooting, especially urban, landscape and portrait photography. Its compact size and weight make this lens a great accessory for travel photography, vlogs and other video footage.

The lens has a standard f/2.8 maximum aperture, ensuring sharp images even in difficult lighting conditions. With a minimum focusing distance of just 17 cm, this lens offers dynamic functionality for wide-angle macro photography. The VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) linear motor focusing mechanism provides fast, quiet and accurate autofocus throughout the zoom range, and the lens also supports Sony's Fast Hybrid AF and Eye AF features on selected cameras.

The nine dimmer blades on this lens give you a pleasing bokeh effect. A fast 65-degree zoom ring allows you to quickly adjust to the desired focal length with minimal movement.

The lens can also be used on APS-C models, where it provides a focal length range equivalent to 30-60 mm.

Compatible with Tamron Lens Utility software for customizing lens functions and updating firmware.
