The Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III RXD is a fast and lightweight standard zoom lens for the full-frame Sony E mount. Price difference to Sony's own 24-70 G-master almost three times as much, but the Tamron still achieves almost the same performance. If you don't necessarily need those extra 4mm millimetres at the wide end, which can be a big deal, then the Tamron is an excellent budget choice for Sony system cameras. The autofocus (RXD, or Rapid Extra-Silent Stepping Drive) is fast and reliable and works without any extra noise. The glass is also weatherproof and the lens surfaces are coated.
