    Viltrox AF 13mm f/1.4 - ultra wide angle

    The Viltrox AF 13mm f/1.4 is a relatively compact and comfortable so-called ultra wide angle lens. An astrophotographer's dream and a real estate photographer's basic tool. The lens is equipped with a comfortable f/1.4 maximum aperture, which allows you to control some depth of field and work in low light situations. The optical formula includes four ED low dispersion elements, and a couple of high dispersion elements. With these, the image is sharp, colour-accurate and without much interference. HD Nano multi-layer coating reduces flare and also improves contrast.

    • With an ultrasonic fixed focal length, 13mm is equivalent to about 20mm in kinocinema terms
    • The fast f/1.4 aperture is suitable for a wide range of lighting situations and is quite good at controlling background softness.
    • Carefully selected elements make a really good impression
    • Electronic contacts transfer Exif data between the lens and the body.
    • 9 dimmer leaves make background softening smooth
    • The included backlight protector reduces flare and provides some physical protection
    • The manual aperture corrector is nice to use

      There are in-depth reviews of this lens online and they are well worth checking out. On the plus side, the reviews are very positive and easy to agree with. The Viltrox AF 13mm f/1.4 with Fuji X bayonet is a work of art in terms of construction and technical features. The lens has an all-metal construction. It's neither the smallest nor the lightest, but it's easy to handle and holds firmly in the hand. The optical quality is good, and for the price it's excellent. Even at full aperture, the centre of the image is surprisingly sharp and distortion is minimal for the focal length. The price/quality ratio of this lens is excellent!
