The Crane M3S is the lightest and most compact end of the Zhiyun range. Despite this, the gimbal is capable of carrying at best a mirrorless system camera with a full-frame lens. The improved quick-locking system of the Crane M3S offers two fine adjustment modes. The camera can be slid back and forth to facilitate battery replacement or accessory installation. This eliminates the need to rebalance the gimbal every time.

Often the best solution is to connect the camera to the gimbal with a usb cable to control the camera functions. However, with the Crane M3S you can also use Bluetooth 5.0 instead and avoid the need for extra cables. The Bluetooth connection allows the gimbal to control the shutter release and recording of compatible cameras.

To help in dim lighting conditions, the Crane M3S includes a small but powerful fill light. The light offers up to 1 000 lux brightness and an adjustable colour temperature between 2700 and 5500 kelvin.

The Gimbal's 1.22″ touchscreen makes it easy to adjust key settings, such as shooting modes. Panorama, time-lapse, monolapse and vortex shooting modes allow you to capture the most creative shots. Your shots won't be spoiled by the battery life either, with the 1 150 mAh battery lasting for up to 7.5 hours on a single charge. But if you do run out of battery, USB-C PD charging gives you a full charge in just two hours. The Gimbal can also be charged during use.
