The dynamic Tamron 150-500mm f/5-6.7 Di III VC VXD is a flexible lens with a focal length to suit all situations and uses, from landscape photography to birding, not to mention sports photography. The optical formula of the lens consists of 25 elements in 16 groups and includes special elements and hybrid aspherical elements to keep chromatic aberrations and chromatic aberrations at bay. All elements feature BBAR-G2 coating which reduces lens flare and haze, increasing contrast and brightness. Complementing the optical design is a fast VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) focusing system that is linear making focusing fast and responsive. It is compatible with Sony Hybrid AF and Eye AF modes. Vibration Compensation minimises blur caused by camera movement when shooting handheld. The lens is suitable for outdoor work thanks to its magnesium alloy body and weather protection.

The Tamron 150-500mm F/5-6.7 Di III VC VXD is a high-quality full-frame lens that, despite its impressive focal length, weighs just 1.9kg. The lens can also be used effortlessly with APS-C cameras, with an angle of view of 225-750mm.

The lens housing is made of metal, and finished with weatherproof rubber seals to keep out moisture and dust. The sleek, yet rugged design is suitable for a wide range of conditions. The front lens is fluorite coated to prevent scratching and effectively repels dirt and grease, and is easy to clean.

When shooting requires a tripod, an Arca-Swiss compatible tripod mount is available as an option for the lens.

The Tamron 150-500mm F/5-6.7 Di III VC VXD is compatible with the Tamron Tap-In console, which allows you to update the lens software or fine-tune focus and image stabilisation, for example.
