The Venus Optics Laowa 15mm f/2 FE Zero-D is a luminous ultra-wide angle designed to produce razor-sharp images without distortion. The closest comparable product is Sigman 14mm F1.4 Art, which, however, weighs almost twice as much. The lens has excellent image quality already at full aperture, but with a slight stop down it improves even more. The product is perfect for astrophotography and landscape photography. Which, in Finnish, help to achieve good image quality and contrast and keep chromatic aberrations to a minimum. The front lens is also coated to repel dust and moisture. The lens also allows the use of filters, which is rare for such wide-angle and high-speed glass. The aperture is dimmed by a mechanical dimming ring on the lens, which can also be used to remove clicks for video use.
