Smallrig is best known for its aluminium frames, or cages, which bolt around the camera body and allow accessories to be securely attached to the camera. Smallrig has gradually moved into other products such as additional camera grips, tripods, LED lights and batteries.

Smallrig mainly offers two different battery types, the traditional charger-charged model and the USB-C rechargeable model. USB-C models therefore offer the possibility to charge the battery almost anywhere and from anywhere, without the need for a charger. This can be done using USB ports in cars, power banks, USB ports in many commercial premises, etc. USB-C also allows for slightly higher voltages and amps, offering around 2.5h of charging for traditional battery types.
